Klimt’s standout colt from last week’s Under Tack Show for the OBS 2-year-olds in Training sale brought plenty of attention when he entered the ring on Wednesday, with Gary Contessa, as agent, placing the winning bid of $225,000.

Consigned by de Meric sales, agent, hip No. 293 had worked a furlong in a swift 10 seconds flat over the past weekend.
Bred in Kentucky by Birchwood Bloodstock, for $45,000 as a weanling at the 2019 Keeneland November sale, the chestnut has already been named Eclipse the Moon. His dam is Total Eclipse, by Malibu Moon, and is from the immediate family of graded stakes winners Mission Impazible, Forest Camp and Spanish Empire.
A Grade 1 winner at two, Klimt bred 357 mares over the past two seasons and is standing in 2021 for $10,000 S&N.
