Top-five First-Crop sire Klimt got his fourth winner on July 6 when Kisses So Sweet scored by 3 1/2-lengths in a five-furlong maiden special weight race at Indiana Downs.
The 2-year-old filly was in an early duel for the lead, but asserted herself coming into the stretch and drew clear at will to win with plenty in reserve.
The winner is owned by 47 Roses LLC, Selima Holdings LLC and John Ennis, the latter also her trainer. Kisses So Sweet was bred by Deann and Greg Baer and is the latest of three winners out of the Quality Road mare Kisses From Kate.
Among Klimt’s four winners is the Candy Sim, a stakes winner in Russia. Klimt will have his first chance for a North American stakes winner on July 9 with Quality Bet in the Tah Dah S. at Belterra Park.
