A colt from Tapiture’s latest crop of racing age brought a top bid of $170,000 during the March 21st session of the 2023 OBS March 2-year-olds in Training sale.
Cataloged as hip No. 325 and consigned by Old South Farm, LLC, the winning bid was placed by Ahmad Alabdullatif. The colt had worked a furlong in 10 seconds flat during the previous week’s Under Tack show.
Since his first crop hit the racetrack some five years ago, Tapiture has perennially been among the leading sires of winners. He has accounted for three stakes winners thus far in 2023, led by graded winner Repo Rocks, and has nearly 50 winners to date. Tapiture stands for $7,500 S&N.
