Leading First-Crop sire Tapiture got his third multiple winner on Sunday when Kay Bee Gee scored a two-length allowance win at Belterra Park in southern Ohio.
The 2-year-old filly broke her maiden in her June 21 debut over the same surface, and much like she did that day, was on the lead all the way again on Sunday, drawing off in the final furlong to win handily.
Kay Bee Gee is owned by Keith Grass and bred by TK Stables LLC.
Tapiture has been among the leading freshman sires all year. He is the only one to have double-digit individual winners, while his two-time winners are led by Sky of Hook, who won Saratoga’s $100,000 Rick Violette S.
