A filly from the first crop of multiple graded stakes winner Flameway sold for $120,000 during the Tuesday session of the OBS March 2-year-olds in Training sale.
L. G., agent was the consignor of hip No. 534, which went to Edge Racing.
The chestnut filly’s dam High Speed Goldie has three winners under her, including multiple stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Shenandoah Queen. High Speed Goldie is a half-sister to graded winners Stoney Fleece and Golden Rahy.
Flameaway, who stands at Darby Dan for $7,500 S&N, has covered an average of 144 mares in his first three seasons at stud.
Flameaway’s next 2-year-olds available at auction will be in the April 25-28 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training, where he has 16 individuals in the catalog.
