Kitty House, a first-crop filly by Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Country House, broke her maiden in front-
running fashion on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Century Downs.
Ridden by Keishan Balgobin, Kitty House set a pressured pace early in the 6 ½-furlong test. She stretched
her advantage to two lengths in the lane and held sway by 1 ¼ lengths at the finish. Trained by Gonzalo
Anderson and owned in partnership by Anderson and Crystal Cates, Kitty House is produced from the
Kitten’s Joy mare Kittenistic. She was bred in New York by Newtownanner Stud Farm and is a graduate
of the 2023 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Yearling Sale.
In addition to Kitty House, Country House is represented by Bride a Butterfly, an impressive debut
winner over five furlongs on the turf at Gulfstream Park, and Epitaph, a sharp front-running winner on
the turf at Saratoga over the summer and most recently third in the Futurity Stakes (G3) at the Belmont
at the Big A meet.
