Sea Art’s maiden win in her first start Saturday at Gulfstream Park gave Klimt his 14th winner from his first crop, tying him for the most North American winners by a Freshman Sire.
Sea Art came away a 4 ½-length winner in the six-furlong race after leading most of the trip. She shook off Mi Negrita at the top of the stretch to win going away.
The winner is owned by Dr. Ricardo Vallejo and was bred by Wayne McFarland.
Klimt will have several chances to add to his impressive list over the coming days, including a pair of maiden special weight entries on Sunday and Monday.
