With Rumble Strip Ron’s maiden win on July 29, Klimt got his sixth winner and moved into the top five on the 2021 First-Crop sire list.
The gray or roan colt tallied a 1 1/4-length victory in a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race at Thistledown, taking over with a swift move just before entering the homestretch and pulling clear in the late stages.
Rumble Strip Ron is owned by Ron Paolucci Racing LLC, who purchased the colt for $50,000 at the 2020 March 2-year-old Sale. He was bred by Pick View LLC, Paul Schaffer and William Pickerrell.
Rumble Strip Ron is the first foal out of Feisty Tomboy and his second dam Zaharias has four graded stakes winning siblings, including Grade 1 winners Visionaire and Tara’s Tango.
