Roanan Goddess became a three-time 2024 stakes winner on Nov. 30 with a come-from-behind victory in the $100,000 Safely Kept S. at Laurel Park.
The 3-year-old daughter of Leofric earned her first black type win January in the Xtra Heat S. and then collected added-money win #2 in Laurel’s Searching S. on Aug. 4. Overall, Roanan Goddess has earned $289,240 and is her sire’s leading earner.
After breaking near the lead, Roanan Goddess settled well off a lively pace of :22.55 and :45.32. She started her three-wide move midway on the turn and came into the stretch with a full head of steam. She took the lead from Discreet Ops inside the final furlong and won by three parts of a length in 1:23.63 on a fast track.
Roanan Goddess is owned by Mens Grille Racing and was bred by Chad Carter.
Leofric, winner of both the Clark H. (G1) and Fayette S. (G2), will stand the 2025 season for $5,000 S&N.
